Cómo llegó un piano a casa, quizás no sea la pregunta correcta. O no fuera una intriga en sí misma. Pero abrir la caja del piano y leer New York tenía una magia. Era como viajar.
Pero uno no viajaba, sino que era al revés: el piano había viajado para llegar hasta nuestra casa. Y ni siquiera desde Nueva York sino de una ciudad llamada Rochester, cercana a New York pero tampoco quizás tan cercana.

Internet, que sabe todo, de a poco va entregando información: resulta que Brewster es una de las fábricas de piano que luego de la caída de la bolsa de 1930 tuvo que cerrar su fábrica. Las cosas no terminaron bien se ve, en su momento. Pero el dato que nos entrega es que, seguramente, el piano que habita en casa fue fabricado seguramente antes de esa fecha, estamos hablando de que como mínimo este piano tiene 88 años.
